Shiny (adj.): Good, great, neat, wonderful, awesome, fun. Origin: Sci-Fi television show Firefly.

No matter how simple, ordinary, or everyday we think our lives are, awesome things, shiny things, are always waiting to be found.

We just have to open our eyes and our hearts to see them.

My name is Arbine. I love food. Like a lot. I’m obsessed with Doctor Who, Disney everything (especially Disneyland!), rainbow sprinkles, Hamilton, and Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel. Crispy bacon is my drug of choice. I dream of traveling the world and one day living in Paris. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom who enjoys every stress inducing minute of it. I used to write for Aiming Low. I live in Hawaii with my husband and two sassy bass daughters.

I love, love, love hearing from you all.
You can say hello by  emailing me  at arbine.vh@gmail.com.
For all you social media junkies, I’m also on G+Twitter, InstagramFacebook, & Pinterest.

 Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I’m in complete agreement with you on all except number 4…my son would agree with that, though! It’s a great thing to appreciate your life, I’m down with that, Chica! Thanks for popping by my blog, I was happy to see you there. Maybe you can post a clip of you doing that Irish jig 😉

    1. Okay, so your son is super cool. As for me doing an Irish jig, well, you probably won’t be seeing that. Ever. I’m a horrible dancer. Michael Flatley, I am not. 🙂

  2. You have such a beautiful family that not much else is needed to make your world shiny. This is my first visit to your blog, so I took a bit of time to browse through your earlier posts. I’m so glad I did that. You’ve created a lovely spot for your readers to visit and I really enjoyed the time I spent here. I’ll definitely be back. I hope you have a shiny weekend. Blessings…Mary

    1. I know, right? My love for bacon and almost anything else made with pork is why I could never become a vegetarian. 🙂

    1. Sorry this reply is soooo late but thanks! It’s my go to dress for most special occasions. Have a lovely day! 🙂
