Family Vacation 2017: Outdoors

I’ve never really been a super outdoorsy person. Sure, I love going on short hikes and enjoying the beach, but sleeping on the ground in the middle of the forest? Nope.

So when my sister suggested we go camping in Forks on our visit to Washington, I was slightly hesitant. She quickly assured me that we’d be in a comfy cabin with a kitchen and bathroom. How could I say no?

Here are some places we visited while there:

The Hoh Rainforest – Arrive early to get parking. We went on the Spruce Nature trail, which had fairly even terrain.

Pacific Pizza – It was quite busy when we were there but the House Special pizza was delicious

Forks Timber Museum – Quaint museum with a scavenger hunt available for children.

When we weren’t out and about, we hung around the cabin, talking story, and stuffing our faces with s’mores. It was heavenly.

Fortunately, we didn’t come across any vampires.
