What’s that I see? A bit of blue sky and a shining sun? Hallelujah! Our visit to Metz was very relaxed. We stopped to watch swans in the river, marveled at the cathedral, and devoured several treats from the Marché Couvert.
When I travel part of me always wants to be on the go, seeing something, doing something. But then I remember that I’ve got kids and while they often have more energy than me, we usually end up wanting to take breaks to rest and eat. Taking time to just observe where you are, who you’re with, to take it all in, is very important not just for travel, but for life as well.
On our way home we made a stop at Ikea. Because why not?
P.S. The meatballs are really good.
