Saving for a Disney Trip

So I did something a little crazy last week.

I put a deposit on a Disney World vacation package for next May.

I know, I know.

But Arbine, isn’t that ridiculously expensive?

Yes. Yes it is. But I have until 46 days before our arrival date to cancel for a full refund if somehow we come up short of affording the trip. Whatever money I get between now and then (after paying off bills and such) will go towards the Disney fund. I’m going to do everything that I can to try and save money for the trip.

One way I’m attempting to save money is by cutting down on my blog food posts for a while. Doing food posts are fun but they also cost money. I know it’s not much but I’m hoping this will help.

I’ve also started to look into doing some couponing (only for things we’re really going to use) and signing up for free samples. My younger sister is obsessed with couponing right now. I’ll probably be tagging along when she does hauls.

Cutting cable has helped a bit. As long as we are able to, I’m hoping to put the money that would’ve usually gone to cable towards the Disney fund. Again, it’s not very much per month, but every penny helps, right?

My husband keeps telling me to be realistic about things. That we most likely won’t be able to afford the trip to Disney World.

But I’m going to try to stay positive (even though it’s really hard some times).

I am not giving up.

I will find a way.

Yes, dear readers, I will find a way.
